Commitment to Families
The Lence group is made up of families: the families of our customers, for whom we work every day to offer the highest quality; the families of all the people who make up the group’s staff and without whom we would not be able to do our work; the families of the network of collaborators who open the doors of their farms to us every day so that we can collect the best milk with all the natural flavour of Galicia; and the Lence family, who now, in its second generation, continues to maintain the entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to the Galician countryside of the founder, Jesús Lence.
Commitment to the Galician Countryside
Despite Galicia being the leading milk-producing region in Spain, Lence is the only Galician dairy company among the 10 largest companies in the sector.
Lence buys and produces in Galicia in line with one of our main raisons d’être: giving back to the land part of what we receive from it. We feel a great responsibility towards the Galician countryside, in our awareness that our activity guarantees the continuity of a large number of family livestock farms in Galicia.
Commitment to Society
Support for local entities has been in our DNA since the beginning of the Lence Group. Over the years, we have collaborated with sports entities, clubs, neighbourhood and cultural associations, so that they can continue to carry out their dynamic work at the local level.
From the sponsorship of one of the most traditional sports in Galicia, rowing, with the Ares rowing club, to the renewed support for basketball, alongside CB Leche Río Breogán, Leyma Basquet Coruña and Ensino de Lugo.
The promotion of athletics materialises in the collaboration for the organisation of fun runs all over Galicia, the 5K Leyma, charity run for cancer in A Coruña, support for the Galician Athletics Federation for the sixth consecutive year with the Liga Running Leyma É para Correr… Lugo, which in 2020 reached its sixth edition with 7 races in as many municipalities; and the collaboration with the University of Santiago de Compostela for the Carrera Campus Terra Leyma, in Lugo.
Lence Group’s backing of Galician sport was also materialised in the sponsorships of RC Deportivo and CD Lugo, the cycling club Leyma A Coruña and the Rally San Froilán, sponsoring the Vallejo brothers as well as the event where the points count towards the Galician Championship.
These are just some examples of our commitment to Galician society, which also leads us to collaborate on an ongoing basis with the Food Banks of A Coruña and Lugo, the Red Cross and other non-profit associations that work with people and families at risk of social exclusion in Galicia.
